Curry Blend 13 Spices
The word "curry" is an Indian word derived from the term kari (or karil), which in southern India refers to the spices used in some typical dishes. It is a mixture of aromatic spices mixed together and has many formulations depending on the region of production but cumin, chili and turmeric are always present.
Because it is a blend of spices, curry benefits by taking all the "good" from the spices from which it is composed: it is an antioxidant, an intestinal disinfectant, a digestive and a metabolic regulator. A great seasoning for rice, pasta, fish and white meats, but we all know the very good and simple recipe for chicken curry, served with rice. It is advised to toast the curry in a pan before combining the ingredients in order to bring out the flavors.
